Vector control

Vector control of induction machines is one of standard means of achieving high performance in induction motor drives.
With help of field oriented vector control induction motors can have performance similar to separately excited dc motors were torque and flux are controlled independently by naturally decoupled armature current and field current.
The technique used in vector control of induction motor drives will be used in the control of induction generator to control generated voltage for different loading conditions and variable rotor speeds.
Independent control of the flux and torque in an induction generator makes the control easier.
Vector control made induction generators similar to dc generators.
With vector control performance of the induction generators can be increased.
